GameACon East | Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 4v4 Tournament

Join us at GameACon East 2024 in Stamford, CT for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! 

Tournament Size: 24 players (6 teams) - teams will be selected at GameACon by tournament staff (pickup teams). Players who competed in the FFA tournament will have their placement in that tournament determine which team they are assigned using a snake seeding method. All other players will be assigned to teams randomly.

Waitlist: A waitlist will be available should the tournament fill

Prizes: Gear provided by Razer

Winning Team: Each player will win a Viper V2 Pro mouse ($130 value)

Check In Time: 12:30pm - 12:50pm EST

Start Time: 1:00pm EST

Controllers will be provided, but you are free to bring your own.

Event Format:

Round 1 (Qualifiers): Top 24 (6 lobbies of 4| 6 teams)

- 4 races @ 150cc | Hard CPUs | Normal Items | All karts & gliders | Smart Steering & Auto Accel Allowed | Standard Track Selection (no repicks)

- Top scoring team overall advances to finals

- Bottom 2 scoring teams eliminated

Round 2 (Second Chance Round Robin): Bottom 12 (3 lobbies of 6| 3 teams)

- 4 races @ 150cc | Hard CPUs | Normal Items | All karts & gliders | Smart Steering & Auto Accel Allowed | Standard Track Selection (no repicks)

- Each team plays every other team

- Team with highest cumulative score across both of their matches advances to finals

Round 3 (Finals): Top 8 (1 lobby of 8| 2 teams)

- 12 races @ 150cc | Hard CPUs | Normal Items | All karts & gliders | Smart Steering & Auto Accel Allowed | Standard Track Selection (no repicks)
