Bring the excitement of competitive esports to your campus!

We offer something that nobody else can offer - an epic experience. We believe that student engagement isn't just a buzz word - it's real - and we make it happen.

Our esports events are different... we don't just bring a few computers or game consoles and a projector, we bring the whole show. Our philosophy is that esports is more than just the game, it's bringing together students into an environment that promotes team-building, friendly competition, excitement, and technology.

We're a full-scale production company - and we utilize that for every event.

WHAT WE'LL DO FOR YOU:

  • Organize and operate competitive tournaments in a variety of popular esports titles including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart World, Valorant, Counter Strike 2, Rocket League, Fortnite, and more!

  • Transform your event space into a full-scale esports arena experience, including live broadcast from our industry-leading Stream Team, live commentary from our team featured at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas, full arena-scale audio, live graphics, lighting, and image projection. We can even build you a 75ft LED wall with over 13 million pixels!

  • Work directly with your student organizations to help fulfill their vision. Remember, at the end of the day, it's YOUR event - we just make it epic.

  • Work directly with your in-house facilities teams to ensure everything is up to your school's standards for safety and compliance. During the planning stage, we'll fully visualize your event in 3D-computer aided design software - including 3D renders of the event so you know exactly how awesome your event will be.

  • We'll take care of online event registration and check-in, and we'll share all of the student data with you for internal use and statistics.

BASIC TECH/LOGISITICS RIDER

Here's some basic technology requirements that our events generally need - of course every event is different, so we'll provide customized riders for your event that reflect your vision, resources, and venue.

  • AC Power: 12, 120 volt, 20amp circuits

    • Note: we are able to accept larger venue power all the way up to 3-phase, 400 amps at 208V using camlock connectors

    • We are able to provide power distribution units including stringer boxes over L14-30, standard power strips over standard edison, etc. All we need is a mains power drop.

  • Hard-wired ethernet connection with internet access - minimum speeds 200mbps download, 50mbps upload. Wifi is NOT acceptable for our production, though it is appreciated for our team to use for non-critical cases

    • Note: our production system uses our own private LANs connected through our own router. Your network will need to be configured by your IT team to accept this, as well as accept connecting up to 12 gaming consoles (depending on your event)

  • Venue space:

    • Our smallest offered event size will fit into a 50ft x 30ft space, but this will limit audience seating. We also request a minimum of 14ft ceiling height to accommodate lighting and pipe/drape

    • Once a venue has been selected by the client, a PlayEX employee will be required to visit the venue space well in advance of the event to gather venue information, discuss load-in and tear-down logistics, find electrical drops, take measurements, etc. On some occasions, if the client can provide an accurate floor plan with measurements, labeled electrical drop points, etc., a site visit may not be needed.

    • After a site visit has been conducted, PlayEX will design the event space and submit a 2D event plan with 3D renders for approval from the client, including required electricity, internet, and other cable run information.

  • Load In / Tear Down Access:

    • We request the ability to load in the event equipment and set up 24hrs prior to the event to ensure adequate time for setup, testing, etc. Tearing down and loading out can generally be done immediately after the event is concluded unless this is not logistically possible. For larger events, equipment may arrive in vehicles including but not limited to 26ft box trucks, and if needed, a 53ft freight trailer. Venue needs to be able to allow us to unload trucks (either at a loading dock or outside venue using a built-in lift gate system).

  • Accommodations

    • For events that are more than 25 miles from Chicopee, MA, client is responsible for providing hotel accommodations for production and event team for the duration of the event (including load-in and tear-down days if necessary). Specific accommodation requirements will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

  • Event Promotion

    • We will provide basic marketing materials for your campus teams to use. Clients are free to make and use your own materials, but they must be approved by PlayEX Esports prior to dissemination to ensure accuracy and brand compliance.

  • Prizing

    • Client is generally expected to provide prizing for events. Prizing should be handled on a case-by-case basis and we will provide guidance on appropriate prizing. Remember, prizing is one of the biggest reasons students compete in events - they should be excited about the prizes!

  • Labor

    • Generally, for small and mid-size events, no labor fee will be assessed as PlayEX's main team can handle all aspects of the event. For large and "arena"-sized events, additional labor will likely be necessary. PlayEX will provide client with a labor quote if this is the case. Note that PlayEX may contract out additional labor to our partner, Zasco Productions LLC which may also include the use of IATSE Union Stagehands. This will on the be the case for the largest of events, however.
